When the cattle returns from mountain pastures, people celebrate it with a colourful event in September. For this event, called “Almabtrieb”, the cows are decorated with alpine flowers, mirrors and bells.

From 10.00 am there is a festival on the meadow in Ranui. Traditional dishes are offered. Of course there is also traditional music.

The cattle drive will start at 11.30 am from Nock. The cows are expected to arrive in Ranui at around 12.00 noon.

The festival of the cattle drive takes place in all weather conditions (with a covered festival tent). The mountain hut Dusleralm remains closed on this day.

Through the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco valley to Klausen/Chiusa turn into Villnöss/Funes valley and drive to St. Magdalena/Ranui.
