Snowshoeing & Ski Touring

Where the paths end, freedom begins. Draw your own track through the silence – over the wide domes of the Lüsner Alm or into the rocky world of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park. Peaks like the Astjoch or the Zendleser Kofel are not trophies in winter, but silent viewpoints that remain accessible even in the cold season. In between, alpine huts invite you to enjoy the warmth of the parlor.

Cross-Country Skiing

Cross-country skiing is meditation in motion. On the snow-sure high-altitude trails of the Lüsner and Rodenecker Alm (over 20 km), you glide a little closer to heaven. In the Villnöss Valley, too, you will find your own rhythm on 18 km of trails – from the gentle loop in the valley to the high-altitude trail at the Würzjoch against the backdrop of the Peitlerkofel. Skiing without the rush. Our village ski lifts are places where winter is still gentle. The "Filler" lift in St. Magdalena with the longest conveyor belt in the Eisack Valley and the "Rungg" lift in Lüsen with its lovingly designed children's land offer families a stress-free space for their first turns. Those seeking the large arena don't have far to go: the Plose, and thus the gateway to Dolomiti Superski, can be reached by ski bus in just 15 minutes. This way, you combine 1,200 kilometers of slopes with the peace of a sanctuary in the evening.

Winter Hiking & Tobogganing

Understanding winter step by step. On groomed paths, you hike through the sleeping Puez-Geisler Nature Park or across the Lüsner Alm. It is a walk without haste, accompanied only by the crunching of the snow and the view of the white peaks. The way back becomes a lively pleasure: seven natural runs in the Villnöss Valley invite you to glide into the valley on two runners.

Those who want to refine their technique can learn in a course with World Champion Patrick Lambacher how to not just ride curves, but to master them.
